Welcome to the Autumn edition of the Serenity Times. Our theme for this issue is “Letting Go to Grow.” Autumn reminds us that there can be growth in letting go. In recovery, that may mean releasing old ideas, resentments, expectations, or the need to control an outcome—and making room for something new to take root. Inside, you’ll find reflections on letting go, moving forward, and the growth that becomes possible as we continue working our program.

Our Serenity Times Subcommittee is very happy to welcome Erica W. as our new Chair. We’re grateful to Erica for stepping into this service position and helping us continue carrying the NA message through the Serenity Times.

Our Sounds of Serenity audio shares explore another part of the recovery journey, as members answer the question, “What is your experience with falling out of touch with the fellowship or your recovery?” Their experiences remind us of the importance of connection—and that the way back remains open when we find ourselves drifting away.

You’ll also find our Autumn clean-time anniversaries, celebrating the members among us who continue to show us, one day at a time, that recovery is possible.

As always, we welcome contributions from our fellowship—articles, reflections, poetry, artwork, and photography (no faces or identifiable people, please)—as well as members interested in joining our subcommittee. You can reach me at tinamserenitytimes@gmail.com.

As the season changes and nature shows us something about the beauty of letting go, may we have the willingness to release what no longer serves our recovery—and the courage to make room for continuing to grow.

With Gratitude,

Tina M.
